Greg heffley and his family, his mom, his dad, manny his 3 year old brother, and rodrick his older brother., decide to go to a tropical resort for christmas. On the way to the airport they get stuck in traffic and are almost late then just as they were about to be in the front of the security line a fight breaks out andthey are last in line again. The heffleys are running to the other side of the terminal way too late to catch the fight but then they realize that their flight has been delayed 2 hours. On the plane greg is seated in between a couple and their baby.Greg and his family land in the resort and gets a hotel room. Greg finds a giant spider in the bathroom and can never go there again.
